Hey guys, new information and clarifications for you:


1. Reminder - check registered players list and if you're there but you're not coming, please, let Nevan (or me) know.

If you know when and in which groups you're coming, that will also be appreciated.

2. Saturday events
Beginning around 10:00.
Groups of 4 to 8 people - everyone against everyone - ft2. Each match is a point.
4 people from each group advance to Double Elimination Brackets designed for 16 or 32 players
All matches, including brackets finals and Grand Finals are ft3.

i.e. 40 players = 8 groups of 5 ppl. Each group will have 4 players advancing and 1 player not advancing to Double Elimination.
i.e. 24 players = 4 groups of 6 ppl. Each group will have 4 players advancing and 2 players not advancing to Double Elimination.
Those who didn't advance will have random-seed Single Elimination tournament (UT@Paris-style).

3. Sunday events
Due to a higher amount of players for Sunday tournaments, we will begin at 10:00. Sunday tournaments have random seeding straight into Double Elimination Brackets.

4. Seeding
Saturday tournaments will have people divided into two groups - those are (working titles) "elite" and "no balls a.k.a. noobs". Elite will consist of Polish players and recently-tournament-winning Czechs, No Balls will be others. These will be spread through all of the groups, therefore it's impossible you will get all of your Polish friends into the same group. The draw system will be better specified soon, I just want to scratch your worries, if there had been any.

5. We will use Challonge online system
That's it. Random seeding will be made there, organizers are able to punch in the results right on their mobile phones. Currently, we think about a way how to show the brackets to the largest amount of ppl possible, but most possibly we will also print them out.

6. Food !important
Local organizers have made a plan to cook food in the place. A very special female cook will be present - confirmed cooking: chicken and pork steaks, sausages and wieners, fries, potatoes. Prices will be announced soon, they have specified they don't want to profit on that, so I think that will be pretty cheap. Beer brand will also be decided, but you can trust Czechs on this one Therefore the kitchen will be available only for Kitchen Ma.

Aki, jeśli ja i Mace będziemy razem w samochodzie taki kawał drogi to lepiej byłoby dla reszty pasażerów, gdybyś nie miał na pokładzie radia z odtwarzaczem mp3. XD

I fixed groups, which are ft2. I don't know how ft3 crossed my mind, but groups are always ft2. All brackets are ft3, of course.

thx for the update VR - I'm gonna join #czecharcade today or tomorrow as I already have everything arranged for my trip to Prague. I have my flight on the 13th of October so maybe we could arrange some spars on the 14th or sth. And I managed to find a hotel in Prague 02 so relatively close to city center
