Hey guys!
We're always happy to see our Polish friends. Some of you at Bursa, some at Buttonczech and some of you even in this year on VanDammage in Vienna. This time, we have secured a nice place near the city center of Prague and we're looking forward for some good competition that you always bring!
There is expected to be a good competition of KOF/Marvel from Germany-speaking countries (as well as Czechs, of course!) and especially good competition for Virtua Fighter 5 since one of our guys (Unicorn) is organizing the European VF group to come for some sightseeing of Prague as well as for the tournament since there is no European Sega Cup this year (if it gets announced anyway and it's around August, we're fucked :mvc3_ub:).

(Saturday: Brackets, Sunday: 2D Finals, Ends on Sunday 3pm)

Ultra Street Fighter 4 (X360/PS3, Finals X360)

Hi VR-Fist,
would it be possible for you to share the accommodation options with us? Also, will the organizers be able to provide any PS3 to X360 controller converters for the participants?
-
We have one Cronus for PS3 players to use on X360. Borrowing a stick is not an issue. Some PS3s will be present as well.
Accomodation coming this week at http://international.czecharcade.com.
Sorry for keeping you waiting, I need to look carefully into hotels around.
-
http://www.hostelbookers.com/hotels/czech-republic/prague/map/

-
Jestem za czwartkiem.
-
A skąd odjeżdza ten PL Bus?
-

Warszawka przyjeżdża w piątek wieczorem i wraca w niedzielę w nocy, więc potrzebujemy raptem dwa dni noclegu.
-
ja zabookowalem City Partner Hotel Atos - 500m od venue
przylatuje piatek rano i wylatuje w poniedzialek

Popieram Di.
Praga bjutiful siti, warto pospacerować i się dotlenić :)
-
No to możemy pojechać oddzielnie, dla mnie najważniejsze to ogarnąć hostel.
-

guys - any tips on PS3 to X360 converters? Don't want to pack 2 sticks to be honest. Any valid option to connect PS3 TE stick to X360?

As it becomes apparent that Saturday evening will be more about gaming, +Ring, Unieling, etc., I'm proposing to CHECK THE CZECH cuisine on Friday, scheduled for 8pm. Nothing overpriced (~7 EUR a meal) but excellent quality assured. Will reserve the restaurant on Thursday, so let me know by then who's coming.
As for the venue, it's not allowed to sleep inside. Playing allowed through the whole time during night-time, of course. You can come anytime on Friday or Saturday.
I'll be available on phone (pls ask me for it if needed), incl. WhatsApp & Telegram, IRC (VR-Fist @ QuakeNet), Google Hangouts, Twitter (@VRFist - DM or mention). From all of these, I get instantly notified. I prefer apps like WhatsApp that easily share photos, maps etc. as that's what you may supposedly need. Messaging > Calling. I'll call you to any EU number if needed.
At the venue, you can buy a pizza for 115 CZK (~4-5 EUR), some Candy Shop exclusive drinks (first time I've heard about that, some American stuff), Monster, beer, etc. A shop nearby offers some baguettes, cigs, etc. Alcohol is cheap in Czech + we're going to have something for you as well (I'm thinking of JD or something like that). BUT we can't have wild drunks around expensive stuff, so only drink responsibly ;))
One tram stop away (or a 5 minute walk), there's is a shopping center where you can get some Thai, Sushi, and around you can get McDonald's, KFC, hotdogs or go for regular restaurants like TGI Friday's who make epic steaks if you're willing to go for 20 EUR per meal. Other than that, we can order something for delivery from various restaurants.
Please, don't forget to change your money to Czech Crowns. You always get a far better rate at home than at the destination. If you need to change some small EUR amount (up to say 10 EUR), you can pay with euros at McDonald's and they always give you the change in Czech crowns
I'll check about parking in the area and let you know.
Check out the schedule: http://international.czecharcade.com/schedule.php

I'm game for the cuisine on Friday - deffo count me in
how much CZK I need for the stay? Coming on Friday leaving on Monday? if I don't want to eat mcdonalds but proper meals?
oh yeah and I drink alot - 6k CZK will be enough you think? can't remember the prices in Czech Republic :/
-
Hey lads - thx for the tournament. Great to see ya dirty old mugs!
The venue was fine but i believe it's better to put all gaming stations at the walls to have a 'central open space' would save a lot of squeezing etc.
Thx VR for knedlik and drunken talks
